Following the annual meeting of the Trent - Comprehensive Local Research Network (CLRN), Michael Osborne (service user) and I (cancer patient) arranged to meet Mike Cooke (Chair of Trent CLRN & Chief Executive of Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust)
We have a common
belief that research makes a significant difference for patients and service
users in NHS and Social Care. We each have very different experiences yet
quickly realised that we could work and learn together.
During our meeting
Mike asked Michael and I to consider 10 Simple Steps to making a difference to
research across the East Midlands.
We also think that working together and bringing our own perspectives, experience and knowledge makes for better planning, design, delivery and dissemination of research.
We each wrote our Top 10s and then thought we needed to share them with others and get even more ideas.
